Who we are
An independent management consultancy based in the UAE
Ambit Nexus is for firms licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA). Our work is to diagnose gaps between licensed activities and day-to-day operations, and to state where our testing stops.
Our principles
Every engagement follows five principles, from the first discussion to verified remediation. The method is set out under Our approach.
Evidence before opinion
We state the evidence behind each conclusion and the limits of our testing. To get there we cross-check system records, agreements and management explanations. We resolve inconsistencies and recalculate material figures where the review requires it.
Practice tested against the documents
To test practice, we follow selected client journeys, transactions and exceptions through the systems and teams involved, then compare what happens with the documented process and with the firm’s permissions and responsibilities.
Conclusions that support decisions
Each conclusion names the decision it supports. The report states any matter that still needs to be resolved.
Independence and clear roles
Our role is to examine and report. Decisions, and the regulated responsibilities that go with them, stay with the firm.
Confidentiality and agreed access
Remote review, system access and evidence handling follow agreed confidentiality and security arrangements within the engagement scope.
Who we support
We support firms licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA), including those licensed for dealing in securities (first category) and arrangement and advice (fifth category). We also support firms assessing a new channel, commercial relationship or operating structure before implementation.
The CMA’s powers apply within the UAE, excluding the financial free zones, which have their own regulators.
